The Meaning of X-Mas

THE STORY

A little closer to the heart of it.

A clearance sign makes Michael ask what Christmas means. His friends meet children who need gloves, carolers, a charity volunteer and skaters before visiting Mrs. Maple. Even Peter, absorbed in his video game, discovers he has something to give. Their search brings them back to the sign with a new understanding.

Who's at the centre?

Michael leads the search, and Peter's change provides a second personal journey. Mrs. Maple and the Shopkeeper help frame the answer.

How can the speaking roles flex?

Questions and reactions can move between Mary, Kara, Josh and Todd; track who gives gloves. The younger Kids, Carolers and Skaters offer short speeches that can be shared or combined.

Room for the rest of the group.

Carol singing and a skating dance offer participation beyond memorized dialogue. Extra friends need clear speaking assignments if their inclusion is to expand the speaking cast.

Bringing it to life.

A shop sign, gloves, a donation bucket, a handheld game and compatible battery props establish the main encounters. Several song choices are left open.
