THE STORY
Josiah and Ishmael learn that a cross they made was used for Jesus. An Angel leads them to the manger, the empty tomb and a Christmas celebration far in the future. The journeys connect the humble birth of Christ with the promise of resurrection.
Two Carpenters and the guiding Angel anchor the action. Martha and a Roman Soldier frame their everyday world.
Shepherd and King dialogue can move between supporting speakers. The final Scripture narration can be divided into shorter passages for more readers. Keep the guiding Angel distinct from Angel 2 in shared scenes.
The future Christmas celebration includes a children's dance and shared singing. Additional worshippers can join that scene.
Three journeys use simple movement between scenes. The story includes the crucifixion and resurrection in its dialogue; read the material when deciding whether it suits your group.
