THE STORY
Billy leaves his space soldier to find the missing child while the family goes to dinner. Spark meets shepherds, an innkeeper, Mary and Joseph, Wise Men and an Angel. Every conversation brings him closer to understanding who Jesus is and what it means to find him.
Spark Lightspeed carries the adventure. Mom, Billy, Sally and Margie frame the story before and after the toys come to life.
Redistribute Shepherd and Wise Man speeches. Sally and Margie could combine with dialogue changes. Family actors may be able to double adventure roles if costume changes and entrances allow.
Sheep perform a dance; additional nativity figures can gather at the end. The action figure and the performer playing Spark are separate staging elements.
A small family nativity set establishes the missing-child mystery. Full-size performers bring its characters to life for the adventure.
Nova has never been allowed to shine in the night sky. A journey past clouds, the Moon, a confident Comet and the Sun reveals that God has a purpose for even the smallest star.
